About Ben Watson Memorabilia & Collectibles
Ben Watson is an American pro football athlete who is currently lined up in the Cleveland Browns’ rosters as a tight end. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia and took his college education when he attended the University of Georgia. Watson’s pro football career began after he was drafted by the New England Patriots during the round one of the 2004 NFL Draft. During his rookie season, Watson, was almost always on the injured list giving him a hard time to display his talent, playing in only one game.
Watson had his two biggest plays of the following 2005 seasons, where Watson became a part of the Patriot’s winning team in the Super Bowl XXXIX championship. Even more notable was on January 2006 during the Patriots' AFC Divisional Playoff game against Denver with his pursuit and tackle of Champ Bailey. Watson played for six seasons with the Patriots until he was released in 2009. Watson then signed a three year deal with the Cleveland Browns on March 12, 2010 which reunites him with former Patriots assistant coach, Eric Mangini.
