Ben Oglivie (full name: Benjamin Ambrosio Oglivie; no nicknames) played leftfielder from 1971 until 1986 for the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers and Milwaukee Brewers. He played for the Red Sox from 1971 - 1973, Tigers from 1974 - 1977 and Brewers from 1978 - 1986. Over 16 seasons, he played 1754 games, hit 235 home runs, drove in 784 runs, and stole 87 bases. Born on February 11, 1949 in Colon, Panama, Oglivie stands 6' 2" and weighs 160 lb. He attended Roosevelt (Bronx, NY) high school and was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 11th round of the 1968 amateur draft. His debut was on September 4, 1971 and he played his final game on October 5, 1986. Over his career, Oglivie made $1,421,593.
