Benjamin Richard Grubbs is a professional football starter at guard who was born on March 10, 1984 in Alabama. He finished high school at Elmore County High School where he became a popular linebacker and a fullback. He made remarkable stats with 130 yards and two touchdowns during his senior year and 110 tackles with one interception in his junior year. SuperPrep Magazine included him among the Top 10 Players in Alabama and was selected to the SuperPrep All-American team.
He moved to Auburn University for college and became a defensive linebacker and a tight end. Sources say he did not miss any game during his college football career and had the chance to play alongside with other future football stars like Cadillac Williams and Kenny Irons.
He entered the National Football League in 2007 as a 29th pick from round one of the 2007 NFL Draft. He was considered as the best offensive guard prospect and was signed by the Baltimore Ravens. After the draft, he underwent private and NFL trainings to ensure the quality of his plays. Currently, he is still with the Ravens. As of Week 17 in the 2009 season, Grubbs played a total of 48 games and started 44.
