Ben Chapman (full name: William Benjamin Chapman; no nicknames) played outfielder and third baseman from 1930 until 1946 for the New York Yankees, Washington Senators, Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, Brooklyn Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies. He played for the Yankees from 1930 - 1936, Senators from 1936 - 1941, Red Sox from 1937 - 1938, Indians from 1939 - 1940, White Sox in 1941, Dodgers from 1944 - 1945 and Phillies from 1945 - 1946. Over 15 seasons, he played 1717 games, hit 90 home runs, drove in 1144 runs, and stole 287 bases. Born on December 25, 1908 in Nashville, TN, Chapman stood 6' 0" and weighed 190 lb.
