Ben Cantwell (full name: Benjamin Caldwell Cantwell; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1932 until 1937 for the Boston Braves, Boston Bees, New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Braves from 1932 - 1935, Bees in 1936, Giants in 1937 and Dodgers in 1937. Over 11 seasons, he started 163 games, won 76 games, struck out 348 batters, and had a 3.91 ERA. Born on April 13, 1902 in Milan, TN, Cantwell stood 6' 1" and weighed 168 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on August 19, 1927 and he played his final game on September 23, 1937.
