Austin George Carr is established as one of the most distinguished players in the world of basketball. He was born on March 10, 1948 and hails from Washington, D.C. He had also been affiliated with several teams in the National Basketball Association which include the
Cleveland Cavaliers. With such playing history, he was well-remembered by most fans and sports commentators as “Mr. Cavalier”. He had his stint with the Cavaliers since 1971 and had stayed with such team for eight years.

Austin Carr (full name: Austin George Carr; no nicknames) played Guard from 1972 until 1981 for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks and Washington Bullets. Over 10 seasons, he played 682 games, scored 10473 points (15.4 ppg) and grabbed 1990 rebounds (2.9 rpg). Carr also dished out 1878 assists (2.8 apg), made 433 steals (0.6 spg), and blocked 66 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Washington, District of Columbia on March 10, 1948, Carr stands 6-4 and weighs 200 lbs. He attended high school at Mackin in Washington, District of Columbia and college at University of Notre Dame. He was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1st round (1st pick, 1st overall) of the 1971 NBA draft.
