About Arnold Palmer Autographed Memorabilia & Collectibles
American golfer Arnold Daniel Palmer was born on September 10, 1929. He is considered by many as one of the greatest professional men players of golf in the history of the sport. He has emerged triumphant in many events both for the Champions Tour and PGA Tour way back in 1955. Known as “The King,” Palmer is one of the most popular golf stars and is also the most significant trailblazer since he was also the very first sport’s star for the television age which commenced in 1950s.
Palmer was also a part of golf’s The Big Three together with Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus. The trio was credited for being responsible in commercializing and popularizing golf all throughout the world.
Given birth in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Palmer won in 1998 the PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award and was also elected to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974. Deacon Palmer, his father, was a greeenskeeper and head professional at the Latrobe Country Club and was the one who taught him how to play golf. He went to study college at Wake Forest University with a scholarship in golf. When his friend Bud Worshamm died, he left the university and enlisted with Coast Guard. He served there for three years and found some quality time for honing his skills in golf.
This man, similar with Mike Eruzione and NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., already has his memorabilia items available.
The incorrect spellings of his name include Arnnold Palmer, Arrnold Palmer, Arnould Palmer, Arnold Palmerr, Arnold Pallmer, Arnold Palmmer and Arnold Palmere.
