He played for the Athletics from 1995 - 2000 and Devil Rays in 2001. Over 6 seasons, he started 60 games, won 15 games, struck out 231 batters, and had a 4.85 ERA. Born on October 22, 1969 in Havana, Cuba, Prieto stands 6' 3" and weighs 220 lb. He attended Havana (Havana, CU) high school and was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 1st round (5th pick) of the 1995 amateur draft.
