Archie McKain (full name: Archie Richard McKain; Happy) played pitcher from 1937 until 1943 for the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers and St. Louis Browns. He played for the Red Sox from 1937 - 1938, Tigers from 1939 - 1941 and Browns from 1941 - 1943. Over 6 seasons, he started 34 games, won 26 games, struck out 188 batters, and had a 4.26 ERA. Born on May 12, 1911 in Delphos, KS (All Transactions), McKain stood 5' 10" and weighed 175 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 25, 1937 and he played his final game on July 5, 1943.
