He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1978 and 1979 and ended his 13-year career having completed 2,011 of 3,642 passes for 23,911 yards and 125 touchdowns, with 173 interceptions. His record as a starter was 35–101–3 (26.3%), the worst in NFL history among QB's with at least 100 starts.

Archie Manning (fullname: Elisha Archie Manning III; no nicknames) played from 1971 until 1984 for the New Orleans Saints, Houston Oilers and Minnesota Vikings. He played 151 games, starting 139 of those. Born in Cleveland, MS on May 19, 1949, Manning stands 6'3 and weighs 212 lbs. He attended college at Mississippi. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 1st round (2nd overall) of the 1971 NFL Draft.
