Antoine Walker is an American professional basketball player. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. Walker is listed at 6 ft. 9 in. and played as forward for several teams in the National Basketball Association; the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Memphis Grizzlies. Walker took his college education when he attended the University of Kentucky where he also played college basketball and was a starting forward for the Wildcats’ winning team during the 1996 NCAA Championship.
Walker began his professional career in basketball after he was drafted by the Boston Celtics during the first round of the 1996 NBA Draft. During his rookie season, Walker showed a spectacular play and made an amazing finish being named as NBA All-Rookie First Team in 1997. During his career with the Celtics, Walker also selected to play in three NBA All Star Games; in 1998, 2002 and 2003. In the 1998 NBA Draft, the Celtics picked Paul Pierce. During the 2002-03 seasons, both Pierce and Walker took the Celtics all the way to the Eastern Conference Finals only losing to the New Jersey Nets in six games. Nine days before the start of the 2003-04 seasons, Walker was dealt to the Dallas Mavericks. On August 2005, Walker was traded to the Miami Heat. And on June 2006, he won his first NBA Championship with the team. After leaving the Heat in 2007, Walker joined other teams in the league and played for one season for the Puerto Rican basketball club Guaynabo Mets.

Walker also dished out 3170 assists (3.5 apg), made 1085 steals (1.2 spg), and blocked 469 shots (0.5 bpg) during his career. Born in Chicago, Illinois on August 12, 1976, Walker stands 6-8 and weighs 224 lbs. He attended high school at Mount Carmel in Chicago, Illinois and college at University of Kentucky. He was drafted by the Boston Celtics in the 1st round (6th pick, 6th overall) of the 1996 NBA draft.
