About Anthony Young:

Anthony Young (full name: Anthony Wayne Young; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1991 until 1996 for the New York Mets, Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros. He played for the Mets from 1991 - 1993, Cubs from 1994 - 1995 and Astros in 1996. Over 6 seasons, he started 51 games, won 15 games, struck out 245 batters, and had a 3.89 ERA. Born on January 19, 1966 in Houston, TX, Young stands 6' 2" and weighs 200 lb. He attended Furr (Houston, TX) high school and was drafted by the New York Mets in the 38th round of the 1987 amateur draft. His debut was on August 5, 1991 and he played his final game on June 19, 1996. Over his career, Young made $1,205,000. Common misspellings of his name include Anthony Anthony Wayne Young.
