Anthony Peeler is a retired professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association and is currently serving as an assistant coach for the Virginia Union University basketball team. Peeler was a shooting guard in the NBA and played the longest time for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Peeler went to Paseo High School in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. While in high school, Peeler excelled in playing basketball. During his last year in Paseo High, Peeler was selected into the McDonald’s All-American team. Peeler went on to play basketball in the University of Missouri. He was able to come up with a 16.8 point-per-game average in Missouri and was selected into the All-Big-Eight, and was named as an All-American.
After playing in college, Peeler decided to enter the 1992 NBA draft. He was selected during the first round of the draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. He was able to play for the Lakers until the 1996 season when he decided to play for the Vancouver Grizzlies. Peeler also played for the Minnesota Timberwolves – from the 1998 season down to the 2003 season. In 2003, Peeler played for the Sacramento Kings and then for the Washington Wizards in 2004. Peeler retired in 2005.

Anthony Peeler (full name: Anthony Eugene Peeler; no nicknames) played Guard from 1993 until 2005 for the Los Angeles Lakers, Vancouver Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, Sacramento Kings and Washington Wizards. Over 13 seasons, he played 827 games, scored 8017 points (9.7 ppg) and grabbed 2136 rebounds (2.6 rpg). Peeler also dished out 1955 assists (2.4 apg), made 775 steals (0.9 spg), and blocked 138 shots (0.2 bpg) during his career. Born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 25, 1969, Peeler stands 6-4 and weighs 208 lbs. He attended high school at Paseo in Kansas City, Missouri and college at University of Missouri. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1st round (15th pick, 15th overall) of the 1992 NBA draft.
