Andy Phillip (full name: Andrew Michael Phillip; Andy) played Guard-Forward from 1948 until 1958 for the Chicago Stags, Philadelphia Warriors, Fort Wayne Pistons and Boston Celtics. Over 11 seasons, he played 701 games, scored 6384 points (9.1 ppg) and grabbed 2395 rebounds (3.4 rpg). Phillip also dished out 3759 assists (5.4 apg), made steals (0.0 spg), and blocked shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in Granite City, Illinois on March 7, 1922, Phillip stood 6-2 and weighed 195 lbs. He attended high school at Granite City in Granite City, Illinois and college at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was drafted by the Chicago Stags in the 1947 BAA draft. He was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1961.
