Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Andrew Lee Cannizaro is a second baseman as well as a third baseman and shortstop of the Major League Baseball. With a height of five feet and 10 inches tall and a weight of 170 pounds, Andy Cannizaro spent his high school at St. Paul’s in New Orleans. He attended the Tulane University during his collegiate years where he got selected in the Major League Draft in the seventh round in 2001 by the New York Yankees. He debuted his baseball career with the Yankees on the 5th of September 2006 versus the Kansas City Royals. His first at-bat was against the Baltimore Orioles’ Brian Burres and his first homerun happened on the 25th of September 2006 versus Tampa Bay Devil Rays’ Jon Switzer. On the 29th of October 2007, he was released by the Yankees and granted a free agency and signed with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on the 28th of November 2007. As part of s conditional deal, he was by the Devil Rays to the Cleveland Indians. Andy Cannizaro has also signed and played for the Chicago White sox where he last played on the 3rd of May 2008.
