Anderson Hernandez is a professional baseball player currently playing for the Cleveland Indians as their middle infielder in the Major League Baseball. Hernandez was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and is a switch hitter. Hernandez signed with the Detroit Tigers as an undrafted free agent during the 2001 season. Before he could go on and play in the MLB for the New York Mets, Hernandez first played for the Lakeland Tigers during the Florida State League and the GCL Tigers in the Gulf Coast League during his rookie year in the league.
