Anders Eriksson (full name: Anders Eriksson; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1996 until 2010 for the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Florida Panthers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Columbus Blue Jackets, Calgary Flames, Phoenix Coyotes and New York Rangers. He played for the Red Wings from 1996 - 1999, Blackhawks from 1999 - 2001, Panthers in 2001, Leafs from 2002 - 2003, Blue Jackets from 2004 - 2007, Flames from 2008 - 2009, Coyotes in 2010 and Rangers in 2010. Over 12 seasons, he played 572 games, scored 22 goals, and made 154 assists. Born in Bollnas, Sweden on January 9, 1975, Eriksson stands 6-3 and weighs 224 lbs. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1st round (22nd overall) of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft.
