Amos Otis (full name: Amos Joseph Otis; A.O.) played centerfielder from 1967 until 1984 for the New York Mets, Kansas City Royals and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Mets from 1967 - 1969, Royals from 1970 - 1983 and Pirates in 1984. Over 17 seasons, he played 1998 games, hit 193 home runs, drove in 1092 runs, and stole 341 bases. Born on April 26, 1947 in Mobile, AL, Otis stands 5' 11" and weighs 165 lb. He attended Williamson (Mobile, AL) high school and was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 5th round of the 1965 amateur draft.
