Alvin Robertson was a former shooting guard who played in the National Basketball Association. He hails from Barberton, Ohio. Before entering his professional career, Robertson took his college education at the University of Arkansas until he was drafted on June 1984 by the San Antonio Spurs in the 1984 NBA Draft where he was the 7th round pick of the team. Robertson’s listed height was 6 ft and 3 in. and weighs 185 lbs. As a rookie in his professional basketball career, Robertson became part of the gold medal-winner United States Basketball team during the 1984 Summer Olympics held in Los Angeles, California.
Robertson’s achievement in the NBA were notable, during his second season with the Spurs in 1986, he won two awards; the NBA Most Improved Player and NBA Defensive Player of the Year, which marked Robertson’s appearance in four NBA All Star games. Robertson played with San Antonio for just about 5 seasons. After his 5-season stay with San Antonio, he joined a few other teams in the league, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Detroit Pistons. After leaving the Pistons in 1993, Robertson made a brief came back in the league when he signed a deal with the Toronto Raptors 1995 and only played for a season.

Robertson also dished out 3929 assists (5.0 apg), made 2112 steals (2.7 spg), and blocked 323 shots (0.4 bpg) during his career. Born in Barberton, Ohio on July 22, 1962, Robertson stands 6-3 and weighs 185 lbs. He attended high school at Barberton in Barberton, Ohio and college at University of Arkansas. He was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in the 1st round (7th pick, 7th overall) of the 1984 NBA draft.
