Born in Hamilton, Ontario on March 26, 1964, Bester stands 5-7 and weighs 155 lbs. He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 3rd round (49th overall) of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. Bester officially announced retirement on August 5, 1998.
