He played for the Angels from 2002 - 2004, Rockies in 2005, Pirates in 2005 and Marlins from 2006 - 2009. Over 8 seasons, he played 544 games, hit 12 home runs, drove in 167 runs, and stole 49 bases. Born on January 16, 1978 in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico, Amezaga stands 5' 10" and weighs 180 lb. He attended Miami (Miami, FL) high school and was drafted by the Anaheim Angels in the 13th round of the 1999 amateur draft. His debut was on May 24, 2002. Over his career, Amezaga made $3,285,000.
