Alexei Zhitnik (full name: Alexei Zhitnik; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1993 until 2008 for the Los Angeles Kings, Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers and Atlanta Thrashers. He played for the Kings from 1993 - 1995, Sabres from 1995 - 2004, Islanders from 2006 - 2007, Flyers in 2007 and Thrashers from 2007 - 2008. Over 15 seasons, he played 1085 games, scored 96 goals, and made 375 assists. Born in Kiev, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics on October 10, 1972, Zhitnik stands 5-11 and weighs 225 lbs. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 4th round (81st overall) of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft.
