The number one pick during the National Hockey League Entry Draft in 204, Alexander Ovechkin is the ice hockey left winger of the Washington Capitals. Ovechkin was born in Moscow, USSR on September 17, 1985.
It was in the 2003-2004 season when he amazingly won the award for Best Left Wing in the Super League and he became the youngest player in Dynamo Moscow history to have led the team in incredible scoring. The Washington Capitals then drafted Ovechkin on June 26, 2004 as the team’s first overall pick. During his first season with the Capitals, he amazingly played well and had helped the team in attaining numerous victories.
