About Albert Pujols Autographed Cleats
One of baseball’s most distinguished players, Albert Pujols was born Jose Albert Pujols Alcantara in 1980 and hails from the Dominican Republic. His family moved to the U.S. in 1996 and he started playing ball at his High School in Missouri, batting more than .500. From there he played for his Community College with a grand slam and triple play that was unassisted in just the first game.
Despite his highly impressive skills showing early on, not many teams from the major leagues showed interest in
Albert Pujols in his high school years. It was only in 1999 during the 13th round of the Major League Baseball Draft that the
St. Louis Cardinals picked him up for the minor leagues.
Albert Pujols quickly shifted to the major leagues only a couple of years later, and his phenomenal playing made sure that he stayed there. Throughout his amazing career he has seized some of MLB’s most coveted awards and brought his records up to the ranks of some of baseball’s greatest legends. Among the many awards he has received are the Silver Slugger Award, which he won for six years, the Gold Glove Award which he won three times and being 2010’s RBI and home run champ. When he reached his 400th home run, he was only the 47th in all of baseball history, and one of the youngest to do so besides
Alex Rodriguez and Ken Griffey Jr. He also stands in line with such baseball greats as Lou Gehrig and Jimmie Foxx in having 100+ RBIs through 10 straight seasons. A legend in his own right, that’s what Albert Pujols is in the world of baseball.
