Alan Horne is a minor league player of the Major League Baseball team New York Yankees. Born on January 5, 1983 in Miami, Florida, he is listed at 6 ft. 4 in. and weighs 195 lbs. He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians as a 27th overall pick in the first round of the Major League Baseball Draft. Although he had the chance to play in the Major League Baseball that time, he chose to go to University of Mississippi and played college baseball. As a freshman, he performed very well and impressed many fans but unluckily had an injury which required him to undergo a surgery. For his junior year, he transferred to Chipola College and was later on drafted by the Anaheim Angels of the Major League Baseball.
He was an 893rd overall pick in the said draft but again opted to play for the University of Florida where he played an integral role in the team’s win in the College World Series Finals. He again drafted for the Major League Baseball by the New York Yankees. This time, he signed with the team and made his debut in the minor league in 2006 for the A Tampa Yankees. He played for the AA Trenton Thunder in 2007 and is currently playing for the minor league of the organization.
Horne is a member of the Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star team in 2007 and was named as the 2007 Eastern League Pitcher of the Year.
