Alan Foster (full name: Alan Benton Foster; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1967 until 1976 for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians, California Angels, St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres. He played for the Dodgers from 1967 - 1970, Indians in 1971, Angels in 1972, Cardinals from 1973 - 1974 and Padres from 1975 - 1976. Over 10 seasons, he started 148 games, won 48 games, struck out 501 batters, and had a 3.74 ERA. Born on December 8, 1946 in Pasadena, CA, Foster stands 6' 0" and weighs 180 lb. He attended Los Altos (Hacienda Heights, CA) high school and was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2nd round of the 1965 amateur draft.
