Al Rubeling (full name: Albert William Rubeling; no nicknames) played third baseman, second baseman and outfielder from 1940 until 1944 for the Philadelphia Athletics and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Athletics from 1940 - 1941 and Pirates from 1943 - 1944. Over 4 seasons, he played 253 games, hit 8 home runs, drove in 94 runs, and stole 8 bases. Born on May 10, 1913 in Baltimore, MD, Rubeling stood 6' 0" and weighed 185 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 16, 1940 and he played his final game on October 1, 1944. Common misspellings of his name include Albert Al alan alberto allan allen alphonse William Rubeling.
