Al McDonough (full name: Al McDonough; no nicknames) played right wing from 1971 until 1978 for the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Atlanta Flames and Detroit Red Wings. He played for the Kings from 1971 - 1972, Penguins from 1972 - 1974, Flames in 1974 and Red Wings in 1978. Over 5 seasons, he played 237 games, scored 73 goals, and made 88 assists. Born in Hamilton, Ontario on June 6, 1950, McDonough stands 6-1 and weighs 175 lbs. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2nd round (24th overall) of the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft.
