Al Karlander (full name: Al Karlander; no nicknames) played center from 1970 until 1973 for the Detroit Red Wings. He played for the Red Wings from 1970 - 1973. Over 4 seasons, he played 212 games, scored 36 goals, and made 56 assists. Born in Lac La H'ache, British Columbia on November 5, 1946, Karlander stands 5-8 and weighs 170 lbs. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2nd round (17th overall) of the 1967 NHL Amateur Draft.
