He played for the Giants from 1939 - 1940, Bees in 1940, Phillies in 1942, Dodgers in 1943 and Cubs in 1946. Over 5 seasons, he played 309 games, hit 15 home runs, drove in 99 runs, and stole 5 bases. Born on July 12, 1914 in Christopher, IL, Glossop stood 6' 0" and weighed 170 lb. He attended Belleville (Belleville, IL) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on September 23, 1939 and he played his final game on May 5, 1946.
