Aaron James (full name: Aaron James; A.J.) played Forward from 1975 until 1979 for the New Orleans Jazz. Over 5 seasons, he played 356 games, scored 3829 points (10.8 ppg) and grabbed 1470 rebounds (4.1 rpg). James also dished out 370 assists (1.0 apg), made 158 steals (0.4 spg), and blocked 69 shots (0.2 bpg) during his career. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on October 5, 1952, James stands 6-8 and weighs 210 lbs. He attended high school at Walter Cohen in New Orleans, Louisiana and college at Grambling State University. He was drafted by the New Orleans Jazz in the 2nd round (10th pick, 28th overall) of the 1974 NBA draft.
