 Originally known as Anthony Joseph Foyt, Jr., he is popular as A. J. Foyt among motorsports fans and the world of racing. He is born on January 16, 1935 at Houston, Texas. Currently, he is already retired as a racing driver of American automobiles. He had various experiences in motorsports. These would include open wheel racing as well as USAC and NASCAR racing of stock cars. A frequent winner and a major title holder of the USAC career, winning over a record of 159 victories. Numerous wins made him so successful and became a Hall of Famer, like Tony Schumacher , in motorsports. He soon retired in active racing and started the A. J. Foyt Enterprises. Teams under this are the IRL, CArRT, and NASCAR. Foyt had also winning memories from 1971 to 1972 at the Ontario Motor Speedway wherein the track was similar to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
