TD Record Has Stores Favoring Favre

The record-setting football that Brett Favre threw against the Vikings on Sunday is already on display at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

"I was hoping to put it on eBay," Favre joked. "I think we are going to let it sit in the Hall of Fame for a year or two. I'm sure after that, I will keep it."

But that doesn't mean fans can't chase their own little piece of NFL history.

Favre's resurgence has pushed the Green Bay Packers to 4-0 and the future Hall of Famer's recent record breaking efforts have spawned yet another cottage industry. Passing John Elway for most wins by a quarterback and now, Dan Marino for most career touchdown tosses had fans shopping for commemorative pieces--and not afraid to reach for the credit card.

At Helmet Central in Grand Chute’s Fox River Mall, owner Paul Leister said the record-breaking throw unleashed a mini “421” industry. He expects to see things in the next two to three weeks that commemorate the moment. “I know everyone was dying to get a photo. They’ll label the photo and sell it. There will be (Greg) Jennings and Favre dual signed pieces. Helmets signed by Marino and Favre.”
