Phillies, Tigers, Brewers Holding Team Sales

The Phillies, Brewers and Tigers are among the big league teams giving fans a chance to buy game-used items for their collections or do some holiday shopping this weekend.

The Phillies are offering “thousands” of items for sale this Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3 and 4  although it’s not certain how many of those are high-end type collectors items.  The team does indicate that game-used helmets, bats, caps, shoes and jerseys from current and former players will be sold along with player locker name plates and autographed items.

The sale is part of the team’s annual Holiday Sale and Food Drive at Citizen’s Bank Ballpark.  The event includes a variety of other family-oriented activities and book signings.

The Tigers are holding their annual team sale this Saturday, December 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The team is offering discounts of up to 50% on select Tigers merchandise, collectibles, apparel and novelties at the Comerica Park Retail Shop.

Game and team-used items for sale at the special one-day event will include leather chairs from the Comerica Park clubhouse, catchers gear, game-used bats, game used jerseys, assorted baseball bats and helmets and more.

In addition, Hall of Famer Al Kaline will be signing copies of his book, SIX: A Salute to Al Kaline.  The book is described as a unique collection of articles and never-before-seen photographs captures what Kaline meant to the Tigers, his teammates, and his fans.   Only copies purchased on December 4 at the Comerica Park Retail Shop will be signed.

The Brewers will host the 30th Annual Clubhouse Sale on Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. at Miller Park. The sale will take place in the visiting clubhouse and fans will receive savings up to 75% on sale merchandise items.   Rare, game-used merchandise including jerseys and bats as well as other souvenir-type items will be for sale.
