After years of operations in Seaford, New York, Lelands.com has moved its operations to a new facility in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It also has begun operation of what it calls a new "customer service driven" web site.

The company cited a need for more space and a growing auction business for the move of their physical operations to a new facility on Cape Cod, in South Dennis, Massachusetts.

According to Scott Gaynor, Chief Operating Officer at Lelands.com, “Due to the great growth in the sports memorabilia hobby and the expansion of Lelands into the vintage photo arena, this facility has been fully staffed and is set up for a more efficient processing and shipping of the thousands of pieces of consigned memorabilia items that flow through Lelands each and every month.” Lelands has expanded its operations to conduct 12 monthly internet auctions as well as its two large catalog auctions conducted each year.

“Our move to Massachusetts simply puts us in a superior position to remain competitive on commission rates with anyone else in the business," said company chairman and founder Josh Evans. "Combined with our two tiers of auctions we can basically sell anything and everything that comes our way. This is an exciting new era.”

Created in cooperation with Simple Auction, the new Lelands web site will utilize a searchable auction database allowing customers to query for items and prices realized from every auction it has conducted since 2002 while providing additional information for both buyers and consignors.

Individual buyers will be able to view live real-time auction results for the items they are bidding on. Clients will also have the ability to view new and past invoices, track receipt of payments, forecast shipping dates and track information for their items in real time.

Clients consigning items with the company will e able to see their current statements, track bidding and prices realized for their consigned items, and track buyer payments.

“This new web site will allow us to continue to be the industry leader with regard to using technology to deliver the kind of information our buyers and consignors want and need when they want and need it,” Evans said.
