Canadian sports executives are excited about their purchases at Heritage Galleries recent Naismith auction.

The game is considered American-born but the inventor of basketball was actually born in Canada. The nation considers Dr. James Naismith's legacy to be theirs and that's why some top sports brass in Toronto decided to make a major play for some of the nicer items in the recent auction.
