NHL Team Captains Jersey Auction

The National Hockey League and NHL Player’s Association will auction off signed, game-worn jerseys in support of Hockey Fights Cancer’s 10th anniversary.

Last week, team captains wore jerseys featuring commemorative Hockey Fights Cancer patches during selected games. Each jersey comes security-tagged, serial numbered and registered into the NHL-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program. Jerseys also arrives with a Letter of Authenticity from the NHL and the Player’s Association.

The Hockey Fights Cancer On-Line Charity Auction will begin on Thursday, January 17 at 6:00 P.M. Bidding will close on January 31 at 9:00 P.M. Bids may be made through either NHL.com or NHLPA.com. Proceeds will go to Hockey Fights Cancer.

Hockey Fights Cancer was founded in December 1998 by the National Hockey League and the NHL Player’s Association. It is backed by NHL member clubs and alumni, the NHL Official’s Association, Professional Hockey Trainers and Equipment Managers, corporate marketing partners, broadcast partners and fans. To date, Hockey Fights Cancer has raised more than $9 million for cancer research, children’s hospitals, player’s charities and local organizations.
