Event to Benefit Memphis Grizz House at St. Jude

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Grizzlies are inviting fans from across the Mid-South to join them as they take their moves from the hardwood to the dance floor for the Second Annual Grizz Gala, presented by Gold Strike Casino Resort, on Feb. 12. All proceeds from this event benefit Memphis Grizzlies House at St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.

The blue tie affair will give fans a chance to take part in an evening that brings the class and excitement that the Memphis Grizzlies represent on the court and in the community. Gold Strike Casino Resorts world-class culinary team will prepare a delectable menu with a variety of live action cooking stations that attendees can enjoy with Rudy Gay, O.J. Mayo and other team members. Throughout the evening an open bar will be available to guests who will also have an opportunity to meet and participate in interactive games with Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph, Mike Conley and the rest of the Grizzlies roster and coaches.

Grizz Gala goers will also have the opportunity to take part in a silent auction with one of the most impressive collections of sports memorabilia and one-of-a-kind fan experiences in Grizzlies fundraising history. Proceeds from the Grizz Gala will support Memphis Grizzlies House located on the campus of St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.

Opened in 2004, Memphis Grizzlies House is a short-term housing facility located on the campus of St. Jude. Memphis Grizzlies House can accommodate up to 100 St. Jude families and features an enclosed playground, fitness room and basketball court.

Supporting Memphis Grizzlies House at St. Jude is a pillar of our community efforts, so we are thrilled that we have the opportunity to bring our fans back together for the Second Annual Grizz Gala, said Greg Campbell, Grizzlies President of Business Operations. Thanks to the help of Gold Strike Casino Resort, this blue tie affair has become one of the cant miss events of the season that helps warm up the winter months in the Mid-South.

Organizations and individuals alike are encouraged to take part in an evening that supports the life saving work conducted at St. Jude. The Three-Point Package is available for companies and includes the opportunity to have their logo prominently displayed at the Grizz Gala, ten passes to the event, one reserved table for ten guests and much more for only $1,500. There is also an Assist Package that includes ten tickets to the Grizz Gala for only $1,000, saving $250 off the original price of ten tickets. Individual tickets are also available for $125 apiece. Gold Strike will extend a limited number of room packages to ticketed guests.

Last years fundraiser was such a great success, the decision to sponsor again was instantaneous, said George P. Corchis, Jr., President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM Resorts International Regional Operations, which includes the Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica. The Grizz Gala provides a wonderful opportunity for us to support two superstar organizations while presenting one of the most fun and interactive parties all year.

The event also marks a furthering of the teams commitment to their corporate partnership with MGM MIRAGES Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica. In July the Gold Strike Casino Resort, the presenting partner of the Grizzlies dance team, hosted the Grizz Girls Finals for the second straight year.
