Hall of Fame Wants Your Memorabilia Story
Hall of Fame Wants Your Memorabilia Story
Baseball fans have the opportunity to share the story of their favorite or most memorable artifact of baseball history with Museum professionals through the "Artifact Memory" contest at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, with six finalists earning the chance to present to Museum professionals on February 17 in Cooperstown.
Fans can submit their story via the Hall's website now through February 2, detailing the favorite baseball artifact in their possession or personal collection. Stories might focus on how the item was acquired, its historical significance, or just the unique existence as a meaningful connection to the game.
Six finalists will be invited to the Museum on Saturday, February 17, to present their artifact story to a panel of Museum experts. Each finalist will have 10 minutes to show and present the tale of their favorite artifact in a public program open to all Museum visitors. The best artifact presentation will receive a one-year complimentary membership in the Friends of the Hall of Fame program. Existing Friends members will receive an upgrade to the next highest Friends level.
Each of the six finalists will receive free admission to the Museum on Feb. 17.
