Daryl Douglas models the unique Geelong Football Club colors up for auction on Ebay

NYAH Harness Racing Club is offering Cats fans the opportunity to secure a unique piece of sporting memorabilia.

The Club is auctioning the only known set of Geelong Football Club harness racing silks.

The specially made colors were worn by Daryl Douglas – Australia’s premier reinsman – at a Nyah meeting on February 6 this year, when he competed in seven of the eight races.

His best result was a win with his final drive of the night on a horse called The Fuse.

The promotion coincided with a visit to Swan Hill by several Geelong players as a part of the AFL’s Community Camps project.

The silks have since been signed by Geelong’s entire 2007 squad, comprising 44 players.

The auction will take place on Ebay (sports memorabilia > AFL/VFL > Geelong Cats category) and bidding had climbed to $340 less than 24 hours after the silks were posted.

It closes around 8.00pm this Sunday (March 4).

All money raised from the auction will be donated to the Swan Hill Junior Football League.
