Federer stays on top

Hamburg - Roger Federer retained first place in the latest men's ATP tennis rankings on Tuesday while Germany's Tommy Haas moved up two places to ninth.

The five-time Wimbledon champion Federer of Switzerland has 7,290 points, with his main rival, the French Open winner Rafael Nadal of Spain, second on 5,225 points. Serbian Novak Djokovic is a distant third on 3,245 points.
