Dayton a Mini Cooperstown This Year

Si Burick was around long enough to write about Babe Ruth and Mookie Wilson. 

The long-time editor of the Dayton Daily News accumulated a lot of baseball memorabilia during his incredible 58-year run at the paper.  Before his death, he donated it to the University of Dayton's library.   

Now, it's coming out of hiding for a special five-month exhibit that begins this Sunday.  Burick's vast collection of World Series programs and press pins, Reach guides and other pieces won't be alone, though.

Miriam Jacobs phenomenal array of vintage baseball cards are also part of the show.  Full details are courtesy of the library, which is pretty excited about the whole thing.
