Cowboys Sale Comes to Close

There were signs. Pieces of field turf. Stars of all kinds.
Jerry Jones wasn't there, but the Dallas Cowboys owner had to have been pleased with his team's ability to sell virtually anything as it wrapped up its memorabilia extravaganza over the weekend.
Not long after the team held an auction for some of the better and bigger items, the Cowboys welcomed fans to the soon-to-be-extinct stadium for an autograph session/sales event.
Mel Renfro was there, signing autographs for $40 a pop. Cut-up pieces of a goal post were $75. It still didn't sell out, but the credit card machines were humming.
