Apr 27, 2009 Aaron Memorabilia Gets Own HOF SpaceOriginally Posted by Sports Collectors Daily. A new exhibit at the Baseball Hall of Fame features numerous artifacts from the career of Hank Aaron. Aaron is only the second player ever to have an entire room dedicated to him, joining Babe Ruth in that exclusive Cooperstown club. Among the items on display are the bat and ball used to hit home run No. 714 to tie Babe Ruth, the bats and balls from his 3,000th hit, 500th and 600th home run and the balls hit to record his 755th homer and 2,210 RBI. Aaron's uniform shirt, pants, cap and helmet worn while he hit the record-breaking 715th homer will be in the new exhibit alongside his locker, 1957 World Series ring, Most Valuable Player Award and many other artifacts from his historic career. The exhibit Hank Aaron: Chasing the Dream chronicles Aaron's life, from childhood through his big league and post-baseball careers, including his vast philanthropic efforts.
