Despite a tense and action-packed race that featured a record 21 different leaders, much of the talk after Sunday has been about the massive pothole that formed in turn two and caused over two hours of delays. While track crews did their best to fix the patch, the quickly-descending temperatures sent many fans in only shorts and NASCAR t-shirts heading for the exits.
Jamie McMurray’s victory at the Great American Race was his fourth career win in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series. There have been nine different winners in the last nine Daytona 500s.
